MISSION & GOALS
The mission of Standish Parks & Recreation is to provide all Standish residents with the very best quality recreational programs, events and facilities possible. Standish Parks & Recreation is committed to its stated goals, focusing on making a difference to each of its citizens.  

  • To promote and provide safe, affordable recreation to all members of the community regardless of age. 
  • To encourage citizens of all ages to engage in various volunteerism in recreational and community links.
  • To foster a sense of community through volunteerism in recreational and community activities. 
  • To coordinate groups, agencies and organizations to assist in providing new and innovative opportunities to include as many members of the community as possible.  
  • To continually assess the needs of an ever-growing and changing community.

Program Coordinator - Open Position

 Are you fun, outgoing and willing to lead kids of all ages on exciting adventures? Are you the right fit for our growing department? Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work? The Town of Standish is seeking a full-time Recreation Program Coordinator to join its dedicated and diverse team. We are searching for someone who is dynamic, creative and passionate about making a difference in our community. This position is under the direct supervision of the Parks and Recreation Director and works to coordinate recreation and enrichment programs for youth and adults.
