The Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) self-defense course for women includes basic physical defense techniques and interactive discussions on risk reduction, risk avoidance, community resources, stalking, sexual violence and related topics.
R.A.D. is not a martial arts program. Participants do not need any prior training. R.A.D. offers a Free Lifetime Return & Practice Policy.
This R.A.D. class will be ASL-interpreted so if you are a Deaf woman, this is a unique opportunity to attend an accessible class. Bring your daughter, mother, sister or any woman you love to learn these lifesaving techniques together. Open to ages 13 or older, must have legal guardian’s permission to attend if under 18.
Cost is $67 per person. Dates are May 11, 18, 25 and June 1 from 6:00-9:00 pm at Colonial Marketplace, in the space next to Bonny Eagle Jewelers, in Standish. You must attend all classes to complete the course.
