A can’t miss ‘spudtacular’ trip to The County is back! We invite you to join us and experience the calming vistas of rolling fields, forests and farms during the prettiest time of year, Potato Blossom. This three day, two night motor coach trip will take us to sites including the Fort Kent Blockhouse….defense site during the bloodless Aroostook War; the Salmon Brook Historical Society operated Wilder House and Aroostook County Agricultural Museum in Washburn… Mars Hill where the wind mills align the top of Mars Hill Mountain ridge; Presque Isle…home of Aroostook State Park, Maine’s first State Park and virtually every town in between! While in Presque Isle, we will visit the Presque Isle High School “School Farm” where we will tour this student operated farm via tractor hauled wagon ride, “pick our own potatoes” to bring home and visit their farm store! While travelling around Aroostook, we will see the growing Amish family farms, work places and visit their stores, too! Trip includes motor coach transportation, step on guide presentation, accommodations at the Hampton Inn in Presque Isle for two nights, breakfast included at the hotel each morning.
