Join us for an educational and fun day touring two of Portland’s historic homes. First we will visit the Wadsworth-Longfellow House, which was home to three generations of one remarkable family that made significant
contributions to the political, literary and cultural life in New England and the United States. After we will stop for lunch and then head over to tour the Tate House, home of Captain George Tate, and the only Pre-Revolutionary home in Greater Portland. This house offers an insightful glimpse at the 18th century and life in Colonial Maine through impressive period furnishings, beautiful grounds, herb gardens and unique architecture. Max: 14
