Maine Huts & Trails
 
Back by popular demand! Join us for another Nordic and/or snowshoe adventure. Novices are welcome, equipment can be made available to you if you don't have your own. Join our partnership of Recreation Departments from Gorham, Cape Elizabeth, Windham, Standish and Falmouth for a cross country ski or snowshoe excursion. We will hike the Maine Huts & Trails' groomed trails in the beautiful Western Maine mountains to Poplar Ridge. The trail to the hut is approximately 3.2 miles and has great views of the Bigelow Mountain Range. Once at the lodge we will enjoy locally sourced, homemade food and all of the comforts of the lodge including hot showers, radiant heat and a drying room. Wine and local brews are available for purchase at the hut. Enjoy a relaxing evening by the fire, games with friends, old and new, or possibly a night hike. Accommodations are in shared bunkrooms. Limited private rooms (double occupancy) may be available. "Out and About" with Standish Recreation
A minimum number of participants will be required in order to offer the trip - or we may fill the vans quickly, so register early! You can register on-line with a debit or credit card, print a registration form to mail in or come into the clerk's office at the Municipal Center.

Cancellation/Refund Polidy
Depending upon our destination, there may be times that we are unable to offer full refunds for anyone who is unable to attend a senior trip that they have registered for. Whenever possible, we will issue either a full or partial refund (determined by the requirements of the venue we are visiting) for anyone who cancels 48 hours prior to the trip. For anyone who cancels with less than 48 hours notice, we will be unable to grant a refund. Thank you in advance for your understanding!
