The 2017/18 Before and After School Programs are full. Please call the office at 642-2875 if you would like to be placed on the waiting list.

Welcome to the Standish Recreation Before/After School Program. We strive to offer children a program that is affordable, fun and safe. One of the key elements of this program is “play!" Through play, children increase their social competence and emotional maturity.  

A parent handbook has been prepared for your convenience. It informs you of our policies and procedures as well as to provide valuable information to help you to navigate the many details involved with this program.  We ask that you keep this handbook in a handy place for easy reference, or please find a copy on our website for your convenience.

We are excited for another successful year with our Before/After School Program.  Thank you for being a part of it!

General Information
  • Who: Children in Grades K-5 who attend Edna Libby, Steep Falls and George E. Jack Elementary Schools
  • What: Activities will include indoor and outdoor sports, group games, arts and crafts, music, dance and some field trips.
  • Each day quiet time for participants to complete daily homework will be offered.
  • Location: G.E. Jack School. The Program phone number: 642-2298 Recreation Department number: 642-2875
  • BEFORE School Program (BSP): Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m., excluding all school vacations, holidays, or snow days at G.E. Jack School. The BSP will not be held on any unscheduled late arrival days (such as those due to weather).
  • Morning Transportation: Children attending Edna Libby and Steep Falls Schools will be bused from GEJ and will arrive at their schools by 8:50 a.m. *Please note the Bonny Eagle SAD 6 Transportation Policy effective 7/1/15 (www.bonnyeagle.org)
  • LATE ARRIVAL DAYS: The BSP WILL be held on the district's 9 scheduled late arrival days for an additional fee. Children enrolled in the ASP are eligible to register for the late arrival days for a fee of $100, to be paid in full at time of registration. Please call the office if you would like this option added to your account.
  • AFTER School Program (ASP): Monday - Friday from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., excluding all school vacations, holidays, or snow days at G.E. Jack School.
  • Afternoon Transportation: Children attending Edna Libby and Steep Falls Schools will be bused to GEJ at the end of the school day. *Please note the Bonny Eagle SAD 6 Transportation Policy effective 7/1/15 (www.bonnyeagle.org)

After School Snack Program
  • Snacks will be provided for after school participants for an additional fee.
  • This program begins Monday, October 16th and runs through the rest of the school year.
  • You must register for this program in order to receive snacks through the after school program.

Pricing Information:
  • After School Program: $1,770 ($10/day)
  • Before School Program: $1,062 ($6/day)
  • The 9 late arrival days are included for Before School Participants.
  • Late Arrival Days for ASP participants: $90 ($10/day). Call the office to enroll.
  • There are no daily options available for the Before or After School Program.

Payment:
  • Automatic monthly payments will be set up when registering to have your credit/debit card charged on the first of each month automatically.
  • After School: $177 due the first of each month, August - May Per Child
  • Before School $112 due the first of each month. August - May Per Child
  • After School Snack: $74.00 one time fee covering the rest of the school year - Per Child
  • After School Snack: $37.00 for October 16, 2017 - February 12, 2018 - Per Child
  • After School Snack: $37.00 for February 13 - June 12, 2018 (will be available in January)
  • Fees may be charged for insufficient funds or expired cards.

No School Day Policy
  • When school is canceled by MSAD #6: No before/after school rec program
  • When school closes early by MSAD #6: No after school rec program
  • When there is a delayed start due to weather: No before school rec program
