World Tai Chi Day April 25, 2014
An event to celebrate and promote the benefits of Tai Chi. It begins in New Zealand at 10:00 a.m. on the last Saturday of April and it goes by time zones around the world for twenty-four hours. Tai Chi players gather in public places to share their Tai Chi experience with each other and the public.
Tai Chi at Moderation Center has been participating in this event for several years, including people from the Standish Rec program. This year, we will be participating in this event at the Standish Municipal Center at 175 Northeast Road. We practice from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and then spend time talking and demonstrating for those who are interested to encourage them to start Tai Chi. For anyone interested, we will finish the event with a pot luck lunch, so just bring your favorite dish to share.
Please RSVP by registering online or calling 642-2875. There is no fee for this event.
