Join us as we venture west and visit The Rocks Estate located in Bethlehem, NH where we will learn the history of maple sugaring, from the times of Native Americans to present day. This informative presentation demonstrates how to tap a maple tree, as well as how the sap is collected and processed using the traditional method of boiling. We will also enjoy a taste of the warm syrup (with sour pickles to cut the sweetness), made on site at The Rocks. Dress for the weather, as we will take a horse-drawn wagon ride around the estate. Our lunch stop will be at the famous Polly's Pancake Parlor where you can continue the theme and enjoy a "syrupy" lunch. Sandwiches also available. Lunch is on your own. This trip is co-sponsored with local rec departments. Max: 10.
