Okinawan Karate with Todd Watkins
Family Karate and Self Defense
This is a non-aggressive, non-combative traditional okinawan karate that offers
exercises for the mind and body. Regardless of fitness level, individuals will learn basic movements, karate language and basic hand-to-hand techniques from Instructor Todd Watkins, who is a six-degree black belt.
Registrations will be accepted on-line at www.standishrec.com or in the Clerk’s Office at the Standish Municipal Center. Registration for classes at the After School Program must be made by the Thursday before class starts. Minimal class size required. The Okinawan Karate waiver form (see link below) must be completed and received before participation will be allowed. Please print, read and complete the form. Then mail it or bring it in to the Standish Municipal Center at 175 Northeast Road, Standish Maine 04084. It may also be faxed to 207-642-5181 or emailed to standishrecadmin@roadrunner.com. Participants in the evening classes may bring it with them to the first class.
After School Sessions
- Grades K - 1
- Location: G.E. Jack School
- Time: 3:30—4:00 p.m.
- 6 week session: April 23 - June 4. No class on May 28th.
- Fees:
- $26.00 for the class only. Pick up is at 4:00 pm.
- $48.00 for the class and enrollment in the After School Program for the 8 Mondays of the program. All of the rules and policies of the After School Program apply, so please review them with your child. Pick up is by 6:00 pm.
- $22.00 for kids already enrolled in After School Program
- Bus transportation is provided from Steep Falls and Edna Libby Elementary Schools to George E. Jack. Please send a note to the school on the first day of class permitting your child to ride the bus.

- Time: 4:00—5:00 p.m.
- Fees:
- $42.00 for the class only. Pick up is at 4:00 pm.
- $65.00 for the class and enrollment in the After School Program for the 8 Mondays of the program. All of the rules and policies of the After School Program apply, so please review them with your child. Pick up is by 6:00 pm.
- $38.00 for kids already enrolled in After School Program

- Open to children 6 years and older, and their parents or older adult

- Fee: $38.00 per person
